Meet Our Doctors
Dr. Danielle Aufiero
Board certified in the field of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Danielle Aufiero MD has over 20 years' experience as a holistic musculoskeletal specialist and expert in cellular therapies of the spine and extremities. Highly regarded as a trusted doctor, peer, and consultant, she has an exceptional ability to identify the often-complicated origins and consequences of pain. Dr. Aufiero compassionately guides, educates, and empowers her patients throughout the course of care, whether they're weekend warriors, high-performance athletes, performing artists, or struggling with the debilitating aches and strains that can result from the repetitive motions of everyday life.
Early in her career as a resident at Kessler Institute of Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, Dr. Aufiero cultivated an interest in using non-invasive, natural based techniques to effectively address sports injuries. To broaden her initial understanding of cartilage disease, connective tissue dysfunction, and inflammatory processes, she sought applicable training. And by successfully completing a rigorous, two-year spine program with the Robb Pain Management Group, Dr. Aufiero expanded her scope of practice to include peripheral nervous system involvement in pain, complex combined neurological and musculoskeletal pain syndromes, and creative outpatient nerve-based procedures.
As partner of the Orthohealing Center, Dr. Aufiero is on the advisory board for The Orthobiologic Institute (TOBI) and has lectured at numerous conferences throughout the United States; and is well-published in peer-reviewed journals. She currently serves as a clinical assistant professor of physical medicine and rehabilitation at Western University of Health Sciences, as an adjunct professor at Touro University and as a staff member of St. John's Medical Center in Santa Monica.
